Portfolio Associate for Direct Lending

Portfolio Associates will be responsible for monitoring the performance of corporate loan investments, providing assistance to underwriting teams on portfolio names, and general portfolio monitoring and reporting.

 

A Portfolio Associate’s primary responsibilities generally may include:

  • Monitor 20 to 25 investments
  • Provide assistance to the underwriting teams with the assigned investments, including assistance with (i) ongoing company / industry analysis, (ii) potential upsizes / refinancing opportunities and (iii) amendments / workouts
  • General portfolio management including reviewing financials, writing summary reports and providing real time updates on investment performance to the senior leadership of the Private Credit team
  • Utilize the firm’s proprietary software tools for company tracking and reporting
  • Communicate with portfolio company management

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong academic track record
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience (i) in a credit group at a commercial or investment bank or credit investment manager, (ii) in a transaction advisory or valuation group at a consulting or public accounting firm, or (iii) other similar experience
  • Strong financial accounting knowledge
  • Ability to distill information and summarize effectively in writing
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skill
  • Self-motivated and driven; ability to work effectively in a team; outstanding attention to detail
  • Flexible, quick learner with the ability to multi-task and work in fast moving environment
